Eagle River Watershed, Colorado
Eagle County requested a Recreation Enhancement Plan that would balance increasing future River recreational demands with the environment it celebrates. The Recreation Enhancement Plan conducts an inventory and assessment of all the issues concerning recreation in the Eagle River watershed. The Plan includes an inventory and assessment of 58 access points, 20 use reaches and 115 in-stream hazards over 58 miles of River. The plan prioritizes and develops concept designs for fifteen projects to enhance river recreation. Furthermore, the plan separately prioritizes habitat projects, access projects and recreation enhancement projects that are identified as offering balanced benefits to the community and the Eagle River environment.
